<p>Health and safety issues are becoming increasingly important in the
modern industrial world. Risk assessment is a core element of health and
safety management. Risk and safety management play an important part in
every business success. Identifying the various types of hazards/risks and
the implications that each might have on an organization, as well as
highlighting the business benefits that can be obtained through successful
risk and safety management all need to be included in an overall company
strategy. The emphasis on management of health and safety and
management of risk is becoming more prevalent in legislation. </p>
<p>This course will provide participants with the practical knowledge to
enable them to carry out risk assessments in their workplace. It is
designed to provide guidance for the identification of hazards associated
with the working environment and the principles to be applied in relation
to carrying out suitable risk assessments so as to ensure staff safety and

HIRA</b> in industries. Developed and implemented monitoring system for
upstream activities / leading indicators in safety. </p>
<p><b>Attended three week seminar held in Japan on “Safety
Management in Construction Work”</b> and successfully implemented
many concept used by Japanese Industries. </p>
<p>Presented papers at International / National and Other Forums</p>
<p><u>International Level:</u> “<b>Safety Control in the
Construction Industry in India</b>” at Extension seminar held in
Japan by Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association (JISHA) on January
22, 2008.” The paper is uploaded by JICOSH (Japan International
Center for Occupational Safety and Health) on Google JICOSH and www.CIDC
